This catalogue is a report of the 88 winning entries. They are presented, not country by country, but follwing the typology of the sites, as alternative strategies for urban projects. Seven principal themes thus allow them to be compared. A series of strong ideas traverses these projects, the multi-functionality of the town, the role of the landscape in a city, the dichotomy of fragmented or continuous urban composition, new types of housing, the passage from private space to public space, etc... Each, is but one of many dimensions of a new urbanity o the European town, attached to its history but also turned towards the future.
