Ron takes great personal pleasure in sharing his knowledge and skills as a Master Hood Maker. Many of the contemporary hood makers today make hoods on his bloscks with his patterns. He began reading and learning how to make falconry equipment over 40 years ago. As a young boy with his first kestrel, he learned that the most important piece of equipment to a falconer is the hood. It must fit properly and be well-made to endure every day use. Hoods were especially difficult to make so he spent a great deal of time striving to create and produce a unique style. It took ten years of hard work to finally finish a complete set of hood-molds and patterns. In this video Ron makes a giant contribution to the art of falconry by halenping falconers everywhere master the art of hood making.
