Las aves son una de las muchas formas que el viento adopta para hacerse ver. Este libro es una muestra del trabajo de su autor, pintor y biólogo que durante cuarenta años ha compaginado la observación del mundo natural y su representación pictórica. Su obra está basada en la observación directa de los animales en su medio, no sólo en España, sino en otros países y ambientes. Acuarelas, óleos y apuntes del natural de distintas especies de aves componen esta obra que se publica con motivo de la exposición antológica “La forma del viento” (Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales en Madrid, junio de 2016).
Birds are one of the many forms the wind adopts in order to be seen. This book is a sample of the work of its author, a painter and biologist who for forty years has combined observation of the natural world with its pictorial representation. His work is based on the direct observation of animals in their environment, not only in Spain, but in other countries and environments.
The book includes watercolours, oil paintings, and sketches from life of different bird species. This work is to be published on the occasion of the retrospective exhibition “Shaped by the wind” (National Museum of Natural Sciences of Madrid, June 2016).
