The Sierra de las Nieves region is one of those magical places in Málaga province which offer rugged wilderness within easy reach of more inhabited areas, such as the Costa del Sol; the virtually unchanged Spanish fir pinsapares, pine or Cork oak forests, with beautiful olive groves stretching as far as the eye can see, and the tiny villages with their traditional flavour and good people.
